Course Information

The rules are changing. Success used to be about knowledge and intelligence, but now it's about our emotional intelligence (EI) and how we handle ourselves and our workplace relationships. EI, which includes inter-personal and intra-personal intelligence, has become more important than the traditional Intelligence Quotient (IQ). Research shows that a high EI is often more valuable at work than a high IQ. Unlike IQ, EI can be developed and learned over time, growing as we gain experience.

So, how can we develop our EI and make ourselves more effective in the workplace? In today's fast-paced and ever-changing world, new skills are needed for survival and success, especially in high-stress environments. Mentoring relationships at work becomes crucial. While expertise in a specific field still matters, qualities like resilience, initiative, optimism, and adaptability are gaining importance.

The goal of this course is to introduce you to EI principles, help you assess your own abilities, and raise awareness of how EI can help you achieve desired workplace results. In this reflective workshop, you will learn to be more self-aware, manage your emotions, empathize with others, improve your social skills, handle stress, and re-energize yourself. Controlling and managing your emotions can lead to increased productivity and workplace satisfaction.

Participants will engage in two interactive days of instruction, focusing on the four main dimensions of EI/EQ: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.
